Minetest games moretrees1/10/2024 ![]() Please do look at both lib_materials, (the mod that defines stone, dirt, and dirt_with_grass nodes), and lib_ecology. I have already begun the process of converting some of the plants to node_timers, and only use the leaf_decay abm, as far as I can tell in the code. Lib_ecology simply defines the nodes, biomes, and decorations, leaving the rest up to the engine, as far as generation. There are well over 200 biomes, 50+ trees, 90+plants from the above mentioned mods. ![]() lib_ecology combines ethereal, valleys_c, moretrees, plant_lib, flowers, and other mods, as well as the Farlands game into a lightweight biome mod. lib_materials pulls dirt, sand, stone, and some other nodes from darkage, xdecor, moreores, rocks, and the Farlands MT Game. Shameless plug: Please try lib_materials and lib_ecology, both are mods that I created and can be quickly accessed via my signature below. However, they are all either incompatible with each other, as each tends to clear the registered decorations, or they require alot of processing power, and thus create lag. Start with this.Įthereal, Australia, Aotera, valleys_c, moretrees, plantlife, and biome_lib are all great biome mods. If it was intentional, I'm not entirely sure.If sfinv isn't in the game/mods folder, then your version of Minetest and Minetest Game are outdated. If the game had glitched, I'll wait for a new update and try it again. This seems like Peaceful Mode, but with slightly rougher graphics, no hunger management, and the added convenience of not needing a crafting bench. Personally, without mods, I prefer Minecraft out of the two, if only for appearance. Is that intentional, with some explanation like not having a sturdy enough material to build on, or did the game glitch and delete what I had placed? I also noticed that when I started laying down boards for a house, I left to gather more wood just a few feet away, and when I came back, a lot of the boards I had placed were gone. Something about something not existing when it's supposed to. I did notice a massive number of error messages appearing while playing. Still, this is a somewhat low-end laptop, so I won't fault either game there. The FPS was about the same as I remember Minecraft having (with Optifine), the animation being just slightly choppy. I gave it a try without any of the mods you recommended, just the game by itself as a sort of performance comparison, since I've played Minecraft before. In this new build, improvements were made to the master server list and 3rd person view was added (by the way, you can see where you are going in dark places by simply holding a torch.)Įdited by Nolornbon, 22 January 2014 - 08:30 PM. Today is a great day, for Freeminer now has a new Windows build. Another thing you will notice is that locked chests are in the game by default and can be made rather easily (you just need 8 wooden plank nodes in a circle with an iron ingot in the middle, while unlocked chests are simply made by using 8 wooden plank nodes in a circle and nothing else.) Finally, the default game does not have any workbenches, but has a 3x3 crafting grid in the inventory screen (very convenient, I know.) ![]() ![]() One thing you will notice is that it connects to servers faster than Minetest does. Once you download its latest build, you will have the most fun with it if you play on a server. Freeminer does have a master server list in it. ![]()
